The Fall Guy

The Fall Guy hits theaters with a bang this weekend. A year after retiring from the business, battle-hardened stuntman Colt Seavers is thrust back into action when the lead actor of a major studio film mysteriously vanishes. As the mystery surrounding the actor's disappearance unravels, Colt finds himself caught in a dangerous conspiracy that leads him toward a perilous fall more extreme than any stunt he's ever faced.

What follows is The Good, The Bad, and NO Spoilers of The Fall Guy.

The Good

The Fall Guy provides audiences with a fascinating glimpse into the challenges faced by stunt men and women during film production. Both Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt deliver strong performances, with excellent chemistry between them. The story feels fresh and engaging, and even I was surprised by the revelation that Colt Seavers was being framed. I particularly appreciated how the film’s title serves as both a nod to Colt's profession as a stuntman and a clever reference to his role as the person being framed for murder.

The Bad

While the majority of the film was engaging and convincing, there were certain scenes that felt implausible. One particularly troublesome moment was the fight in the garbage truck, which struck me as unrealistic and detracted from the overall experience.

My Overall Opinion

I give The Fall Guy a 8 out of 10.
