Twisters

The much anticipated Twisters comes howling into theaters this weekend. is the newest family movie to hit theaters. After a traumatic experience with a tornado, Kate Cooper is reluctantly drawn back to the open plains by her friend Javi to test a revolutionary new tracking system. There, she encounters Tyler Owens, a charming yet reckless social-media influencer known for documenting his storm-chasing exploits. As storm season escalates, Kate, Tyler, and their rival teams are forced to fight for their survival when multiple storm systems converge over central Oklahoma.

What follows is The Good, The Bad, and NO Spoilers of Twisters.

The Good

Twisters stands out as one of the best sequel films in recent memory. Fans of the original will appreciate the nostalgic references and callbacks, while newcomers will still find the film highly enjoyable thanks to its compelling storyline and thrilling storm-chasing action. Glen Powell delivers an exceptional performance, perfectly embodying his role as a charismatic storm chaser, while also providing well-timed comedic relief.

The Bad

The film's attempt to have a “Bad Guy” element feels unnecessary. While that is how Abby is lured back into storm chasing, I feel like it took away from the majority of the overall movie.

My Overall Opinion

I give Twisters a 9 out of 10.
